Good for short fur, not so great for long fur

by
I picked one of these up for my poodle puppy. It works great as a harness, is well-made and the materials are very soft. It does have a habit of matting the fur where it rests, so when my sister found a staffy pup who was the same size as my dog, I gave her this harness and got one of another material. The harness works exceedingly well for the staffy, and I'd recommend it in a heartbeat to any dog with short fur (especially for dogs with sensitive skin, over the standard hard-edged nylon harnesses). Caution and a good brush would be recommended alongside it if your pup has longer fur, though!

Great material...awkward fit

by
I recently purchased this item for my boston terrier who suffers from hairloss and sensitive skin. The material that this item is made from is great...very soft and comfy. However trying to adjust this to a proper fit is so terribly awkward. I don't know if it's because the top of belly strap is sewn into the back strap with the leash connecting hardware, but when I adjust it to fit her belly, the metal hardware ends up rubbing right under her armpit. When I try to move the harness in hopes of the metal hardware laying elsewhere, I'm then stuck with the harness fitting her crooked. I made sure to measure both her neck and her chest prior to purchase...she has a 12" neck and a 21" chest, so the small should fit with no issue...but it does not. I want to love and use this product, but there is a design flaw in there somewhere that makes fitting/adjusting/using this item incredibly awkward.

Soft, simple, perfect!

by
Very nice quality harness. Love the soft hemp, and the fleece lining was the clincher. A bonus for dogs who have little or no fur on their necks, chests. Purchased a medium for a tiny, 45 lb. greyhound. Still adjusting to get the best fit. Purchased this size mainly to get a longer T-strap. While this size seems to work, I wish the T-strap were a little longer, thus positioning the chest strap further back from the front legs to unsure no rubbing/chafing. Although this harness sits close to her front legs, the soft hemp/fleece does not seem to irritate her thin skin. Also wish there were a second D-ring on the front, but not a big deal that one is not included. A great, soft, simple, gentle harness. Easy to get on and off and simple to adjust. Am very pleased with my purchase.

Love!

by
I absolutely love this harness! I got one for each of my dogs and am ordering one for my foster dog now too. This is the only harness that has not caused irritation for my dog who has extremely sensitive skin. I live on a lake and needed something that could withstand getting wet and handle 80lb dog. This is a great product and highly recommend to everyone. I found out about this harness from a recommendation from a friend who also loves hers.
Thanks!

The best

by
So far I have tried 3 different types of harness for my 9 month old Wire Fox Terrier; and this is the best by far. My boy is narrow across the shoulder but has a deep chest. The nylon harness slips and causes him to cough and hack when he pulls, plus he would hide when it was time to saddle up for a walk. He doesn't mind this one because of the fleece lining, we still have a bit of "harness issue" getting it over the head... but most importantly, it stays in place , it is soft, and my sweet boy is not coughing when he pulls! ( we are working to stop the pulling though).

I also have the matching leash which is equally as beautiful as the harness and easy on my hands. I LOVE Planet Dog!!!

Ps: service is great too!

Great Harnass

by
This is the best harnass on the market - period. It is comfortable for your fuzzy friend and fairly easy to put on. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because my escape artist dog was able to get out of it, but she could put Houdini to shame. Biggest reccomendation I have is measure your dog, especially around the front area. I have found that I monkey around with that area more than the back where the clasp is.

Best harness I have tried

by
I tried several different types of harnesses for my boxer as he has an elongated soft palate and esophagitis which means absolutely no flat collars for him. This is the most comfortable harness he has worn and even if he pulls when he is excited the harness does not press against his throat. He has not had any gagging or hacking since switching to this harness (which he had with every other harness we tried). It is very durable and easy to put on him and adjust. I also purchased the matching leash and it is very durable as well. I would recommend both of these products to any pet parent whose dog wears a harness.
